WATCH OUT! The Top Ten List of Games To Watch Out For This 2017 (1 of 2)

It’s a new year once again, a new year to anticipate for new games to come! If you’re feeling down in the dumps because you’ve already screwed up a bunch of your New Year’s resolutions, then here are two lists guaranteed to get you excited. Today, we’re starting the Watch Out series, a two-part series of posts that would keep you on the lookout for the awesome stuff coming up this year. For this list, we’re going to share with you ten upcoming games that are going to be released this 2017, so get your controllers ready my friends. Game on.

10. The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

If we’re going to start a list of awesome games to watch out for, we better start it big. And what better way to do just that than starting up with Link? Attention all Zelda geeks, this upcoming game of the million-dollar franchise is rumored to be the best one yet, and it will be released alongside Nintendo Switch (which I know, we’re also all looking forward to!).

9. The Walking Dead

We have been disappointed a LOT of times by the Walking Dead franchise, multimedially speaking (wait, is that even a word?), but this time, Overkill, the game’s developer assures us that their upcoming game is the Walking Dead game we’ve all been waiting for. And in order to ensure the game’s quality, they even involved Robert Kirkman. Now, that’s a game to wait for.

8. Days Gone

Because all of us deserves to have more than one zombie game to get excited about! Days Gone, is going to be one of the most interesting zombie games we’ll ever play says SIE Bend Studio, the game’s developer. The game promises to be realistic, and you don’t need to be a hero. All you need to do is to survive. In fact, the protagonist, Deacon, decides to leave a man to die to save himself!

7. Mass Effect: Andromeda

There are a lot of reasons why Mass Effect: Andromeda is something to look forward to. First, BioWare delayed the release of the game promising a better gameplay. And then, there’s also Mako, a customizable six-wheel vehicle that we’ll be able to pilot using the main character (in which we’re also given the option to choose whether a male or female).

6. For Honor

Question: which warrior do you think is the most honorable – knights, samurais, or Vikings? I won’t start a debate here. Let’s wait for the game, For Honor to be released and settle the discussion there instead.

5. Vampyr

Oh man, I can’t even stress how excited I am to get my hands on this game. After all, the genius Dontnod is the developer of the game. Yes, you can tell that I really enjoyed Life is Strange. This time around, we will follow the life of a vampire doctor, bound by the Hippocratic Oath during the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918. The ultimate challenge? To not kill. ANYONE.

4. Tekken 7

Finally we’ve reached the last few items on the list, and what better way to end it than including the upcoming Tekken 7? After all, we’ve waited for it for so long. How many years has it been after Tekken 6, after all? And I know I’m not alone in saying that we’re just dying to know what happens next for EVERYONE.

3. Shenmue 3

Shenmue is in the top three because of three reasons: because it’s marked number three (and I’m trying to be witty like that), second, it’s because I know that you’re watching out for it too, and third – oh man, if you’re not waiting for it, then obviously you’ve been left behind by the thousands of people who have funded this game letting it reach its Kickstarter target of $2 million in just eight freaking hours!

2. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

Resident Evil nerds, Biohazard is here and it looks great. The only main reason why it’s not in number one is because at the time of writing this, the game hasn’t been released yet, but at the time of publishing we’ve already finished playing it already by then!

1. God Of War

Wow, 2017 is really the year for franchises. First we have Zelda, then Tekken, Resident Evil, and now…God of War. ARGH! I’m going crazy. I can’t even stress enough how much I want to get my hands on this one. Kratos is looking the best as ever. He’s much more badass with that “wisdom beard” of his, and just that air of mastery surrounding him…and probably the most intriguing question of all: he’s…a dad?!
