Real Madrid get past Manchester City 3-2

The most awaited game in the Champions League group stage, Real Madrid vs Manchester City, lived up to its hype, as Real Madrid came back from behind twice to beat Man. City 3-2 in the last minutes of the game from the Bernabeu. The Spanish champions dominated most of the game but it was City that scored first through Edin Dzeko, which put the visitors in front midway through the second half.

After Dzeko’s goal, the players from City started to feel comfortable with their lead and probably thought they could win it easily but Marcelo equalised with a stunning finish in the 75th minute. Ten minutes later City striked again through Aleksandar Kolarov with a surprisingly good free kick that gave his team a 2-1 lead with five minutes to go but the guys from Madrid used though five minutes better than any other team.

They were equalised almost immediately by Karim Benzema and a couple of minutes later, even though most people expected the game to end with a draw, Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winner for Real Madrid, exactly in the 90th minute with a right footed strike. That’s what I call an exciting soccer game. Watch highlights below.
