Pogea Racing’s 1959 Corvette looks sweet!

I’ve never heard of Pogea Racing but from now on I’m pretty sure I’m going to remember their name. And it’s all thanks to their latest project, an American old timer, a classic 1959 Corvette, that received the latest technology, an incredible engine and a stylish design.

They wanted to “marry” contemporary driving characteristics, a terrifically powerful engine, dependable brakes and a refined interior with the beautiful, classic bodywork, as they describe this project. So let’s see what’s so special about this car, besides the awesome look.

First, under the hood, it comes with an LS3 engine from the 2011 Corvette, which was also improved with LS7 injectors, camshafts, open intake and a new stainless steel exhaust. Thanks to this massive engine, this classic Corvette has 485 horsepower and 585 Nm of torque, all sent to the car’s rear wheels.

With all this power it could accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds and it could reach a top speed of 179 mph. A new in house tube frame, an adjustable coilover suspension and a new high performance braking system were also added to handle all this power.

Next, in terms of styling, the Pogea Racing 1959 Corvette is finished in original Ferrari colours, Rosso and Bianco, and comes with unique wheels, LED lighting, smooth red leather in the cockpit, a flat bottom steering wheel, Cobra seats and a powerful multi media system from Alpine. But all this come with a price and that’s “just” $295,000.
