Here’s an awesome design study from Mercedes-Benz, an eco friendly G-Class of the future, developed for the L.A. Auto Show Design Challenge. Named the Mercedes-Benz Ener-G-Force, this futuristic SUV is envisioned as being able to reach any place conceivable really fast while using alternative energy sources.
Even though I’m not a fan of SUVs, this one is pretty bad ass and if it ever goes into production, I’d probably consider buying one in the future. It looks massive and muscular and features an expressive radiator grille with built-in LED headlamps and a couple of elements that remind us of the current G-Class models.
It has small windows designed to make it feel like a safe cocoon and it can store water in a couple of weird roof-mounted tanks before it goes to a hydro-tech converter where it should be converted to hydrogen necessary for the fuel cells. Really interesting..
