Guardians Of the Galaxy Fashion Series: Peter Quill / Star Lord – What He Wears (1 of 3)
With the release of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 movie just around the corner (that’s going to be on April 25, 2017 by the way), we are going to feature a series of fashion posts dedicated to what they wore in the movie.
In this edition, we’re going to take a look at Peter Quill aka Star Lord’s wardrobe.
Blood Red Leather Jacket
I won’t blame you if you’re going to think about Star Lord’s blood red leather jacket first and foremost when we talk about Guardians of the Galaxy fashion. After all, that’s his signature look, right? Well, you don’t have to be the Star Lord to be able to sport this piece.
If you want the exact same piece in the movie, then you can have a custom one made straight from Alexandra Byrne, the movie’s costume designer. Or you can get similar pieces like John Varvatos’ Slim Sheep Skin Leather Jacket worth $2198.
Gray Knit Shirt
One thing that I’ve also noticed in the movie is that Peter Quill is always in a gray knit shirt. Diesel’s Men’s K-Manik Knit shirt is a pretty close match to what he actually wore in the film.
Black Cargo Pants
Of course, even the Star Lord has to wear pants. And if you’re going to be inspired by the film, then you must get yourself a black pair of cargo pants. J Brand Jean’s Trooper Cargo Twill Pants is a nice choice. That’s $239.
Finally, you’ll need a pair of sturdy and reliable boots. Like the jacket, getting the exact same piece would require you to get a custom one made just for you, but, really now. Do you want to put those costume boots on? The main objective of this post is to let you feel like you’re Star Lord but you won’t really feel like a well-costumed dork.
Hence, with that, Summit Fashion’s Men’s Transformable Black Boots is the perfect choice at only $92 (because it’s currently on sale at the time of writing, original price is $115).
