Guardians Of the Galaxy Fashion Series: Drax The Destroyer – What He Wears (2 of 3)
Hi everyone! I know that you can probably tell by now how excited I am about the latest Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 movie that’s coming really soon to theaters. Hence, to honor this momentous event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we are having a fashion series dedicated to the movie.
Last time, we have featured how to channel your inner Star Lord by taking a look at Peter Quill’s signature look. This time however, we’re going to explore Drax The Destroyer’s style.
No, I’m not talking about ridiculously chunky muscles or body paint. I’m talking about his pants. Take a look at this guy. For someone who doesn’t really wear a top, this guy has really cool stylish choices happening at the bottom part of his body. Let’s take a closer look.
Much like the blood-red leather jacket of Star Lord, Drax’s burgundy pants is also somewhat iconic. To get your own piece which is exactly like the one in the movie, well, I’m sorry to say that you would need to get a custom piece made just for you – and if you have the budget for it, then why not splurge by getting the movie’s costume designer herself, Alexandra Byrne, make one for you!
Now this might be cheating a little bit, but I just can’t help myself. The trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 really cracks me up every single time, especially when it’s revealed that Star Lord has sexual feelings for Gamora and Drax himself bursts out laughing.
In that scene, Drax was wearing a pair of camouflage pants. G Star’s Rovic Zip 3D Tapered Cuff Pants is an identical piece that you can get at $180.
Dark Cargo Pants
Finally, I just noticed that one of Drax’s favorite pieces to wear is his blue cargo pants. If you want the same look without looking intergalactic (no offense, Drax), Urban Outfitter’s Vanguard Zephyr Cargo Jogger Pants is a more earthly alternative.
