Gosh.. how do they come up with these ideas? Qatar plans to build this stunning resort called Amphibious 1000 which is actually a $500 million semi submerged resort that looks like a large aquatic creature stretching out into the sea. It’s divided into two sections of land and sea, with the land section including residential buildings, a marine park, floating waterways, underwater galleries and many more goodies that all form a semi circle around the central tower which hosts a panoramic restaurant.

If you think that’s brilliant, wait ’till you read more about the sea section of the resort which features four semi submerged hotels resembling anchored super yachts, all with 75 luxury suites positioned around the perimeter of the building with access to private terraces and underwater passageways that connect the hotel rooms. The main lobby of the resort is focused around an interactive sea life museum.

Amphibious 1000 will also feature 80 floating suites called “Jelly Fish” with underwater viewing decks looking upon an artificial reef bed. These suites can accommodate up to six guests and feature five levels connected by a spiral staircase: a relaxation room at the top of the suite at 5.6 m (18.3 ft) above sea level, the sleeping quarters and bathrooms at 3.5 m (11.5 ft) above sea level, a daytime use area with a kitchen and bathroom at 1.4 m (4.6 ft) above sea area, guestrooms and bathrooms semi submerged at 0.8 m (2.6 ft) below sea level and on the lowest level, at 3 m (9.8 ft) below sea level, guests could enjoy their own aquarium lounge.

Wait, there’s more. If guests will ever get tired of walking around the maze of floating waterways, they could use electric vehicles throughout the resort and they could even jump on board of one of the 20 m (65.6 ft) aluminum yachts with hydrogen engines and underwater viewing globes.
