When the Coolest Cooler came out, we never thought things couldn’t get any better — until Coolbox decided to join in on the action.
We’ve already got a cooler that does it all. Why not a toolbox that does it all and more?
That’s exactly what founders, Mike D’Agostini and Christopher Engelo thought of when they decided to come up with this thing of construction beauty. Of course, they’re over the top creative and ambitious, which is why Coolbox is one of those things we don’t really need to have but we must get our hands on.
For starters, yes it is a toolbox. Yes, you get to stash everything you need for when you have to fix your woman’s car or have to build your kid a fort. It wouldn’t be called cool if it didn’t do anything more, right?
Coolbox has its own digital clock, USB ports, a retractable 12-foot extension cord with a three-way splitter that runs on both 110 & 240 volts, Bluetooth speakers and LED lighting. But where does it get all its power? This neat box comes with its very own internal battery.
That’s not all.
It’s got a whiteboard, a tablet stand, a magnetic top (to finally deal with all those scattered bolts and nails), a set of wheels and a pair of durable handles.
Sure, there might be a ton of hipsters who can’t distinguish a slot from a Philips screwdriver already lining up to get their hands on one of these but you have to admit, this is one gear you’d also want parked in your garage. Imagine all the space and time you’ll save the next time you go for a road trip or attend your arts and crafts class.
What’s the price to pay to be the coolest toolbox-bearing guy to walk into a room? $169 — but only for a limited time. Prices will spike to a retail price of $299.
Everybody loves Coolbox so much, the Kickstarter project has surpassed its $50,000 goal by more than half and the funding still has a month to go.
We don’t know about you but we’ve already pledged. Now, all we have to do is wait.
