Clippers beat Jazz in Utah for first time since 2003

Wow, Los Angeles Clippers fans have to hate the Utah Jazz. They got to watch the Jazz destroy their team – 16 straight losses in a row in the past battles between these two teams in Utah! That means that the Clippers had not beaten the Jazz… since 2003. 2003! That’s ridiculous. It’s like the Clippers are cursed against in Utah. But they finally managed to beat the Jazz in a close 107-105 win that was so close to being a 17th defeat in a row against the Jazz.

You could tell the Clippers wanted redemption by their old fashioned game play. They played a tight, clean game against their adversaries, and made 9 free throws in the last 30 seconds to clinch the tight game. The Clippers did more than just make clutch free throws- they were strong at claiming rebounds, beating the Jazz in rebounds 50-35, which was definitely a deciding factor in this tight game.

Everything went wrong for the Jazz- free throws went wide, rebounds were slightly out of their reach, and the Clippers were playing for redemption. I have to be honest- if the Jazz had a little luck this game, they could have extended their dominance further. Let’s hope that the Clippers have shaken off their Jazz woes by finally winning in here.
