Oh my, there used to be a time when you could sail on a yacht for a lovely cruise around some exotic islands and stop from time to time to check ‘em out but.. that’s all about to change because someone had (I think we could say) the brilliant idea to make a tropical island superyacht.
The Tropical Island Paradise superyacht is exactly what its name says, a massive 90m yacht lookin’ like a secluded island paradise, with elements inspired from the islands of the Caribbean, Indian Ocean and Polynesia, all mixed together to create this yacht created by Yacht Island Design.
It’s still just in the concept phase at the moment but, since there are many crazy millionaire out there, I think we’ll end up seeing it on water sooner or later. This island yacht can accommodate 10 guests and it’s apparently powerful enough to reach a top speed of 15 knots from a diesel electrical power plant.
The yacht’s exterior was designed to give the impression of waves breaking around a volcanic island, while maintaining the look of a modern yacht. The exterior deck is a private beach with a big ocean view swimming pool that’s “fed” by a stream coming from a cascading waterfall on the volcano further aft. Private cabanas arranged between palm trees provide a relaxing outlook over the pool and ocean and behind all these there’s a bar area, seating area and an al fresco dining. The owner’s suite is located inside the volcano and spread over two decks also featuring a balcony and a private spa while the guests cabins include four VIP suites with private balconies.
Wait, there’s more! This superyacht also features a helicopter landing platform, deployable floating beach islands (yeah, you’ve read that correctly) and many other goodies such as a cinema, library, games room and gym, a fully equipped spa and a multitude of lounges.
