In a night when Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah have combined for just two field goals and LeBron had 30 points, Dwyane and Chris Bosh over 20 points each, you’d expect to see the Miami Heat win easily over the Bulls. But that was not enough last night, because Bulls’ bench was just spectacular, keeping Chicago in game despite a poor-shooting day from two of their best players and bringing incredible energy to the table once again.
The game between the Bulls and the Heat wasn’t as exciting as I’ve thought it will be but it ended in an overtime dominated by the Bulls that snatched a 96-86 victory against Miami. With under a minute remaining LeBron James scored a big three to take a two point lead and he even went to the free throw line a couple of seconds later.
I’ve thought it was all over back then but LBJ went 1 of 2 from the line and C.J. Watson knocked down a cold blooded three with just 2 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. Don’t know what the heck happened in OT, but it was complete Bulls domination, outscoring the Heat 12-2.
Boozer was the top offensive threat for the Bulls but Watson was the best player last night, picking up the slack for D.Rose in style. Kyle Korver went on auto-mode and nailed 5 of 6 threes, Deng was ok as usual and Tag Gibson also contributed to this victory a lot, with the Bulls outscoring the Heat by 38 points while he was on the floor.
For the Miami Heat, it was another game that should make them wonder about the playoffs. LeBron was great in first three quarters but in the fourth the team relied once again on Dwyane Wade to bail them out. Chris Bosh must play even better and their bench really has to step up their game if they want to go all the way to the championship.
