There are so many reasons for you to end up lazying around on your couch watching television while eating your favrite junk foods this time of the year. From Thanksgiving all the way to New Year’s Eve, you won’t even notice how much pounds you have gotten or how long you have been on a break from your regular exercise routine. It is rather understandable because of many factors. One might be the cold weather where you just want to snuggle around the fireplace drinking your hot chocolate. Another could be all the parties you are going to and all the delicious food that comes with them. Despite all these obstacles, you can still find ways to stay fit. Here are a few motivations to stay fit and healthy during the holidays.

Enjoy what nature gives you.

The snow ain’t so bad after all. If you know how to make of it. Go to the mountains and ski. It’s one way to get your adrenaline pumping. You’d get motivated in no time. If you are not really into that sort of thing, then you can simply go ice skating or even making snowmen. As long as you are outside instead of staying inside, you have the opportunity to stay fit.

In need of company.

Exercising on your own is hard enough as it is. Imagine what it would be like if you did it by yourself during the holidays. There’s no way you’d get anything done. Find someone who can exercise with you so that you won’t feel the need to make excuses for yourself. It’s easier to convince yourself to not go to the gym if it’s only you.Bring someone along and you’ll get motivated just as much as your friend will.

Go gift shopping.

This might catch you off guard a bit since it’s not the usual motivation to get some exercise. But we have to face the fact that going to the mall and buying every single one of your friends and family gifts is just as tiring as your morning jog. Especially when you have so many relatives that you will probably circle the entire mall and then some. You will probably even gain a few muscles from carrying all those shopping bags.

There is always space for motivation and all you need to do is find ways to get it. Stay fit during the holidays and you won’t even need to make that new years resolution.
